Program Eligibility

Students who are assigned and accept placement in one of our Choice programs must agree to participate on a full-time basis in the Choice program for all four years.

All math classes must be completed by June 9, 2025.  Verification of completion required eligibility math courses must be submitted via email to Heather Cleary by June 9, 2025. NO EXCEPTIONS.

Eligibility Requirements

Computer Science (CS) Program

9th Grade
  • Minimum 3.0 unweighted academic GPA
  • Completion of Algebra 1 Honors with an unweighted 3.0 GPA in the course
  • Completion of Geometry Honors with an unweighted 3.0 GPA in the course
  • Proof of enrollment and/or completion of Algebra 1 Honors and Geometry Honors MUST be submitted with the application.
  • Algebra 1 Honors and Geometry Honors must be completed by June 9, 2025.
  • Verification of completion of Algebra 1 Honors and Geometry Honors must be submitted via email to Heather Cleary at heather.cleary@palmbeachschools.org by June 9, 2025.  No exceptions.
  • 10th Grade
  • Minimum 3.0 unweighted academic GPA
  • Recommended courses: (The same courses that are already listed on the website.)
  • English I Honors/AICE General Paper, World History Honors, Biology Honors, World Language (French or Spanish), Personal Fitness, P.E., Algebra II Honors & Java Programming Essentials 

International Baccalaureate (IB) Programme

9th Grade
  • Minimum 3.0 unweighted academic GPA
  • Completion of Algebra 1 or Algebra 1 Honors
  • Proof of enrollment and/or completion of Algebra 1 or Algebra 1 Honors MUST be submitted with the application.
  • Algebra 1 or Algebra 1 Honors MUST be completed by June 9, 2025.
  • Verification of completion of Algebra 1 or Algebra 1 Honors MUST be submitted via email to Heather Cleary at heather.cleary@palmbeachschools.org by June 9, 2025.  No exceptions.
  • High School Credit French or Spanish – recommended
10th Grade
  • Minimum 3.0 unweighted academic GPA

Innovative Interactive Technology (IIT) Program

9th Grade
  • No eligibility criteria
10th Grade
  • Minimum 2.0 unweighted academic GPA
  • Recommended courses:  (The same courses that are already listed on the website.)

Math, Science and Engineering (MSE) Program

9th Grade
  • Minimum 3.0 unweighted academic GPA
  • Completion of Algebra 1 Honors with an unweighted 3.0 GPA in the course
  • Completion of Geometry Honors with an unweighted 3.0 GPA in the course
  • Completion of Algebra 2 Honors with an unweighted 3.0 GPA in the course
  • Proof of enrollment and/or completion of Algebra 1 Honors ,Geometry Honors, and Algebra 2 Honors  MUST be submitted with the application.
